Vacancy in BNM...

... for a Superman

To support two critical systems accessible 24x7 by users nationwide. And at the same time, need to attend meetings after meetings during office hours, while still need to do paperwork, troubleshooting, user support, etc.. Which may mean you have to be a 2 or 3 different places at one time.

And no backup i.e. no leave, no MC whatsoever.

That's my job at the moment.

Yeah, way to go!

My colleague

Ainuddin, he's warded for the past few weeks. And today, we're informed that he's diagnosed with leukemia. Information form Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leukemia

Sounds serious as it is a type of cancer. I pray that he'll recover soon. Pray with me.

So true

I received this in my email:

>>

PEACE OF MIND
If you were to ask your neighbor, 'What would give you peace of mind?' he might tell you, 'A vacation in Bermuda!' or 'An extra hundred grand would give me peace!', or 'A new Ferrari would make me content!'

But going places – and getting stuff – is usually a temporary solution ... Peace of mind rarely comes from getting more stuff. Getting more stuff usually leads to wanting even more stuff! Peace of mind starts with being grateful for what we have right now.

GRATITUDE is POWER
When we are thankful for what we have - for the friends we have, and for the things we've got, we attract more good people and good things! People who always complain about what they DON'T HAVE, stay stuck. Complainers attract more things to complain about!

It is a law of life. It's hard to explain, but you can observe it around you. We get more of what we dwell upon. That's why all the spiritual masters have taught the same lesson ..

'Start by being thankful. Be happy with what you have now, and more will come your way.'

It's practical advice. Every time you say a silent 'thank you' you become more peaceful – and more power.

For me, this is so true. Human can never be satisfied. If you now earn RM5k a month, you want to earn RM10k a month. But when u do earn RM10k a month, u want to have RM20k a month! And on and on.

It happened to me as well. When I started work, I thought a salary of 50% more would make me very happy and easy. But now, I earn like 300% more, still it's not exactly as what I thought last time. So learn to be content.

But unfortunately, the trend nowadays is complain-complain-complain and complain summore. Sometimes, up to the point of whining. It's almost like the 'IN' thing to do nowadays. Malaysian now complain about almost anything.

So please, let's try to be content with what we have and you'll discover life is much more wonderful then.

Money will never be enough!

Nak marah ke tak?

Last week, aku dah hantar email request mintak kawan aku format PC. Dia mmg support PC kat ofis aku ni. Takde reply. 2-3 hari lepas tu, jumpa dia, dia kaata bebudak dia busy. Nanti dia hantar sorang tolong buatkan. 3-4 hari lagi lepas tu, tak juak datang,

Then semalam PC tu dah langsung tak boleh boot dah. Jumpa dia lagi. Katanya busy lagi (walaupun masa aku jumpa tu dia tgh busy install software kat PDA member dia i.e. non work related), tapi dia mintak aku bawak PC naik atas kalau nak cepat. Aku pun bawak la naik atas. Katanya pagi ni dia buat kan. OK.

Tapi ni dah dekat tgh hari, belum buat pun lagi. Bila tanya org sebelah, katanya dia pegi keje kat luar, kat Shah Alam. Tapi semalam kata nak buat pagi ni? In total dah seminggu dah PC aku tu problem.

Nak marah, kengkawan satu department. Tapi bila tak marah mcm ni pulak jadinya.

Kalau aku ada access to all installation CD and Admin password, dah lama dah aku buat sendiri, tapi of course aku tak boleh access semua tu.

Entah lah...

Want to lose weight?

Until today, I still have friends who are still surprised to see my thinner than before. I guess I must've been really big 6 months ago then. And almost always they'll ask me what I did, which would be ratehr difficult for me to explain.

So I'm making a post of what I actually did to lose 10kg in less than 2 months. Just to share:

- I don't have proper lunch, instead go to gym during lunch hour

- Changed my eating habit. No more lunch at the food court. Normally I had rice + chicken, the normall stuff. Now I change to tuna sandwich almost exclusively

- Run on average 30-35km per week. Minimum of 10km per session

- Cycle on average 70-80km per week, one of which is 40-50km solo ride

- Play my other sports when I have the chance, which amounts to 4-5 sessions of futsal, squash or badminton per week

- Contrary to others, I still take my normal dinner

So there it is. Try it and I can assure you the kilos will drop. Kinda obvious some may say with the amount of activities I'm doing.

But the bonus is, after a couple of months, you'll be a different person already. And you will be ready for Powerman even hehehe

For those who expected that it may be some secret newly found herb or supplement that I've been taking, sorry guys. I did it the hard way.

So let's move your body!

Welcome 2009!

My first post in 2009! And I think it's just fitting to post my resolutions for the year.

This is not the full list though:

- To further better my time in Powerman Malaysia, 4:20 maybe?
- To get within the top 6 squash player in BNM (my friends not gonna like this ahahaha!)
- To do 2:47 lap around Sepang
- To maintain my weight!
